This is a plain-language summary of the licence for Brainoid IO. The full licence agreement accompanies the installer.
Free use
You may use Brainoid IO free of charge:
- for personal use;
- as a student, for study, including group projects;
- for work you do as an individual, including as a freelancer or sole trader, when you are not working through a company.
Free use covers the number of workspaces and AI Employees shown on the pricing page. Optional contributions allow us to keep personal licences free.
The licence is for the software application only. Local model processing is free. Cloud AI processing is provided by third parties, and its credit is not included in the licence fee.
Organisations
A licence is needed for each person who uses Brainoid IO in a project involving a team of two or more people, or for work for a legal entity, such as a company, charity, public body, school or university, whatever its size (a one-person company included). Licences are renewed each year. The fee, and the number of workspaces and AI Employees each licence covers, are on the pricing page. Talk to us to buy licences.
On trust
Brainoid IO never checks a licence: AI that runs on your computer never needs an account. We rely on organisations to license what they use.
Other software
Brainoid IO includes software from others under their own licences. Their notices come with the app.
