  1. Layer 1

    Library of Knowledge

    • Text documents
    • Recordings
    • Past AI interactions

Any useful record; can handle tens of thousands of documents.

  2. Layer 2

    Knowledge Curator and Librarian

    • Auto-Memory

Curates and connects your knowledge, and retrieves only relevant context for you and your agents. Stays local and private.

  3. Layer 3

    Your Choice of Model

    • Free local models
    • Zero-retention open models
    • Frontier models

Under your full control: local, open or frontier. No lock-in.

  4. Layer 4

    Reactive AI

    • Chat
    • Code· Optional

Explain the context to your assistant once, not every time. Auto-Memory (knowledge curator and retriever) has access to tens of thousands of documents.

  5. Layer 5

    Autonomous AI

    • AI Employees

Fully featured harness for autonomous agents (similar to OpenClaw), to create always-on agentic workflows.

Brainoid IO brings all five layers together.

Unlocking three levels of autonomous work.

Automate your work with Brainoid IO. Each level frees more of your time, built on what you already know.

  1. Basic

    Offload the routine.

Forms, paperwork, deadlines and calendar updates.

  2. Intermediate

    Teach your way of working.

Grant drafts and recurring workflows that follow your methods.

  3. Advanced

Extend what you can achieve with self-improvement.

Adapts through a loop of doing, evaluating, reflecting, and correcting workflows.

How it works

A studio to create your autonomous AI agents.

Bring it together. Let Auto-Memory curate it. Teach your AI Employees to put it to work.

Brainoid IO on your computer connects three offerings. These work together, rather than being numbered steps.

One unified knowledge library, private, connected

  • Notes
  • Meeting Recordings
  • AI Chat history
  • AI Coding history

A librarian that gives you what is relevant

Auto-Memory connects knowledge from your work and enriches it automatically. The network includes notes, images, code, conversations, audio and contacts.

Teach Autonomous AI Employees to work for you

Your AI Employee works in its own isolated virtual computer. Example applications:

  • Email Assistant
  • 24/7 IT Monitoring
  • Customer Service
  • Co-Scientist

Private by default. Under your control.

An asset you own and evolve.

How we compare · sources and qualifications

A tick means the product does what the row says; a half mark, only in part, on some plans or with plugins or setup; a cross, not as the row says. Brainoid IO's column describes the product; Brainoid Code is optional. Brainoid IO never uses your data to train AI models. Zero retention applies to Brainoid IO's designated open-model routes, which do not retain your content. Notion AI and its meeting notes need a Business or Enterprise plan; chosen pages work offline in Notion's desktop and mobile apps. Obsidian's iOS voice notes with transcription are in early access. ChatGPT trains on your chats unless you turn off "Improve the model for everyone"; Claude Code trains on personal accounts if you allow it. ChatGPT's zero retention is for the API, with approval; Claude Code's is for qualified Enterprise organisations, and its most capable models keep data for 30 days by default. Codex's command-line tool is open source and can run local models with technical setup. Muse is available in the US, runs on a Meta cloud computer, trains on your interactions unless you opt out, and keeps your conversations out of Meta's ad systems. OpenClaw and Hermes Agent are open source and self-hosted; Hermes Agent also has a desktop app. Reviewed 24 October 2026; features depend on version, plan and configuration.

Design and own your AI. Don’t just rent it.
